On Sunday, October 29, 2017, from 3 pm, the Historical Cultural
Association "Il Cuore di Bartolomeo" will present to the public the
recent discovery of an important cross engraved inside the cloisters of
Tenuta Torre in Cenaia (Crespina Lorenzana, PI)
In the ancient rooms beneath the park and the manor house of the Estate, a Cross of the Eight Beatthudes was found on stone. The
glyph, of considerable size and valuable work, is probably attributable
to the fourteenth century and would photograph a precise moment in the
history of the lands of the Elders: when the existing land and buildings
of the Estate, now owned by the Terzi Coppini families, passed to the
Order of the Gentiles immediately after the suspension of the Order of Templar Knights.
 This
leads to the belief that this vast property property has been part of
an ancient Templar domain, a consideration of immense historical and
cultural significance for the whole territory of Valdera and Pisa: in
fact, to this day, they do not yet know properly kept "Templars "; that of Torre in Cenaia would be the first documented case.
 This
and all related topics will be discussed on Sunday, October 29, 2017,
at a conference organized by the Association "Il Cuore di Bartolomeo"
and conducted by prof. Luigi Battistini.
 During
the day, in addition to the discovery presentation conference, you will
also be able to fully enjoy the enogastronomic and tourist offer of
Torre at Cenaia by participating in: guided tours in the park and
underground, carriage tours within the 500 hectares of the Estate, wine tasting in the cellar, lunch and dinner at the J63 Brewery or the Osteria Pitti & Friends, animation for children.
